Well the Bose is out and the Kenwood DNX9990HD with Garmin Nav is in. I think it's a pretty clean look and I love the sound.

Have you considered the uncluttered look of hardwiring in your passport?

JRS6,
Man, Ive been thinking about hardwiring my Escort for awhile but I seem to go back and forth between that and my V1 depending on
the type of driving I'm doing. If I'm in the city, I tend to use the Escort for the filtering but on the highway I use the V1. I've seen the hardwired ones and I really like that "clean look". Just not sure what to do since I bounce back and forth between the two detectors.

Hardwire them both...then buy a funk switch and wire that as switch power for a relay that has the power for each system as its two sides. so, funk switch lit, V1, not lit, escort.

Hardwiring them both.....!!?? I never thought about that. Thats a Damn Good Idea!! With a Funk switch, can I decide which detector I want "On" or will
both of them be on at the same time?

Hence the relay. If you wire in a relay to the equation so that with the relay energized it allows power to flow through the V1 hardware kit, and de-energized it allows power through the escort hardware kit, then wire the funk switch to energize the relay, then yes.

Man, you should do it! I'm loving this mod. The stereo sounds great. The bluetooth syncs fast and the Garmin Nav is on point! The iPhone/ipod plug
is wired into the glovebox and it as well as Pandora has worked thus far without fail.
