compare the 3rd brake light...in the last two pictures

is there a possibility that it indicates how strong you're breaking?

I was about to agree....but after looking more closely I realised that these pictures are of two different cars. Look at the tape over the lights, the reflectors on the lower valance and the patterns in the camouflage. :eye:

We've come across the first wave of Audi A1 photos via a remote market source. Initial model information, these photos and possibly more shots are scheduled to go live perhaps as early as this evening but since we have the shots and we're not held by an embargo we're going to run them for your viewing pleasure. We've not put watermarks all over them and would appreciate people not clipping our logo from the bottom as a return nod. For those who do, we'll know who you are because you'll have the same crops as us. Click the link at the bottom for 1024 higher res versions of these shots. Enjoy.

Not revolutionary, but not dull either. I'd lose the "alumi-look" C-A Pillars.

Looks to have more design elements, especially proportions, with the Fiat 500 than the Mini. It looks rather similar, as expected, with the concept vehicle but I favor the interior design over that of the exterior. However, given the draconian safety regulations and restrictions placed on today's automobile designers and engineers, it is more a tribute to develop a reasonably attractive vehicle over a stunner.

I'm interested in seeing the technical specifications and other variants/colors emerge over the next few days.

    I love it!

Beautiful details. Not as good looking as the FIAT 500 but probably a much better drive and undoubtedly better quality, economy and reliability. Not as performance oriented as the Mini, but more space, greater comfort and without doubt better looking. All in all, it has both the 500 and Mini licked, IMHO.

Well done, Audi, this is a fantastic car. I am sure it is going to be a great success. Just waiting to see what 5-door version will be like in production form.
