Ok, I've got the shorter S4 speed/flywheel sensor but it is still too long (S. Kendrish kit). Do you have to shim the sensor or is there an even shorter S4 special part #?

I did a shim on both of my cars. One was with SteveKen's kit, the other without.
EDIT: used a thicker version of this: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...cer/078906435/
Thanks, I ordered that one. I'll use some putty and measure it and see how it goes. Maybe I'll need two?

I don't recall needing a shim. I used a sensor from a 2000 A6 6-speed, and a Euro DQT transmission, and it plugged right in.
RS6 #1, 01E, 2.5" straight pipes, AMD Stage 1 6MT tune, 460awhp/530awtq on AMD's Mustang dyno. TOTALLED.. RS6 #2, Ebony Black Pearl on black/silver combination with carbon, up and running with 6 gears and AMD tune.
These are the part numbers I used:
CPS 06A906433C 1 ordered Europa CPS Spacer 078906435 1 ordered 1stVW
Thanks everybody. I've got a new S4 CPS as I new it was shorter than the RS6 CPS but never knew I needed the spacer until I measured it this last weekend. Spacer is on order. I need to get this engine/tranny back in the car.
