I thought the platform only need a few tweaks to adapt it to awd? Anyhow what engine/output are they thinking, like will it retain the 1.4tfsi as I hope so since it's light and what this car doesn't need is more weight front over the front wheels, plus will it get much more than 210hp, I don't know, in one way I think it will need to be to justify it's price hike and put enough air between it and the 185hp 1.4tfsi model that's just been released which is fwd and as such will probably feel as potent as 200hp driving all the wheels. But going much further might step too much on the S3, a tricky one for marketing to get right.
my little finger told me recently that 4 prototypes are being driven around ingolstadt for the S1 AWD...
as i wrote in another thread the option for an 1.8TFSI Quattro for the S1 is being tested
