Millonaires are cooler than Billionaires, they like cars. For example people like Nicholas Cage, Jay Leno, Ralph Lauren. Those guys have some sweet rides!

Billionaires can respect money, be eccentric and do what ever they want to do. But for pete's sake can't they drive something cool too? Sure you could some restraint by driving a '88 Mazda pickup, but why. Dear god why? I also think they may have holding companies that have their cars registered under those names instead of their own. Once you become that rich, you really don't want your name involved with owning certain things.

I think audihead's right -> most of those guys do own other cars ... but they're registered somewhere in their companies.

but ... despite of that ... I do find the volvo of the Ikea finder so cool -> well ... no rolls, no h1 ... nothing bling bling -> just a volvo 240

... Ikea has for sure registered a few cars on its name.

Go, Ingvar! Love the car. So practical. So, well, Swedish. If it works, why throw it away?

But seriously, if you're that focused on building an outrageously successful business and accumulating vast savings in the billions of dollars, is it any surprise that you might not make car collecting a priority? And if you've got a driver in a fleet of corporate cars taking you from office to private jet all the time, is it any surprise that you might not want a car that's a pure driver's car? And if you really did collect cars, would you really register them under your own name? I think not.

Gotta like the 959s though...Paul and Bill must have gone shopping together that year as MS stock shot through the roof.

You have just say correctly, what I was trying to say in my earlier post. Anyway how can a car collection compete with owning a football team for entertainment. Check out how many Billionaires own Sporting Team, be it football, basketball, baseball or American football. They are in these to prove that money can buy you success, and you know what - they're right.
