German car magazine AutoBild Sportscars tested the Z06, new M Roadster und SL55 (new engine 517 hp) at the German Racetrack Oscherleben.

the z06 is an awesome car!
it is more than 1 sec quicker as the
Manthey-Racing Porsche 996 GT-MR!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure the Z06 lap times is not a misprint, 1:40.57 min seems really low when you look at the rest of the car in it's class. But it might be true, it did do the ring in 7:30 something, though was that not with one of their own race drivers.

EVO tested it around the Bedford track and it was slower than a 996 GT3 and a Gallardo did it's lap 1.60secs quicker as well. Maybe the testers didn't trust it's ability enough to produce the goods on the day. Don't get me wrong I think the Z06 is a class act and offers supercar performance to more people. It's just I don't know if it's that quick.

according to the magazine i just read again on my toilette it say´s

The Corvette is the fastest production car they´ve ever tested on oschersleben!

it is only half a sec. slower than the Koro Porsche!
