Wow... identical cars, identical codes at identical mileage. I just went through the DT pull for the TC replacement along with the 75K. Was painful, but while things were out and being torn down, I woud recommend addressing everything you can. There are good threads here that discuss/recommend the items to take care of while everything is apart. If you're not under warranty and/or have a choice, I'd highly recommend an ACE converter too.

    G/L with it!

I'm going to have everything I can have done while its taken apart, I'm planning on doing the ACE converter since it seems to be what most everyone is having success with. I also have a bent rim that I am going to try to get fixed- hopefully. Possibly the lower air vent mod too.

    Thanks!

Not a 6-spd yet, that'll have to wait for time and a space to do the work ( and a donor neuS6 ). I found some existing cases of conversions on this site ranging from a $2k kit to (maybe I misread) $30k! for an early adopter.

    looking good!
IIRC, there are two cases of an aftermarket company's existence of a 6 speed conversion (MTM and Sportec):
The RS600 by Sportec is here in the states, er maybe in Canada.
The MTM is a Clubsport RS6 Avant and it is in Europe somewhere -> Mr. Balsen's little finger

There are at least three recent conversions (StevenKen's, another who's username escapes me at the moment, and Riccardo @ Raven MS in Long Beach, CA)
I have the amazing opportunity to drive Riccardo's RS6 6Speed at Qualcomm stadium parking lot during the largest All Euro meet on the west coast (1100+ cars):
The clutch was a six puck racing clutch so it was very grabby and you really couldn't slip it for gentle take off.
Once you were out of 1st gear, the acceleration is what you would expect -> fierce! and endless!
It felt very natural to want to shift it, it felt solid, almost like the car was born that way.
oh, and the car had an EPL tune and Stasis suspension.

Matt @ Raven or others on here, could provide direction on the conversion.
The most challenging part is the ECU to TCU communication or lack of communication.
If that part was working, without tossing CEL's, others would be scrapping the 5HP24 and jumping on a 01E...
