This is the new Audi R9 production version prototype.

As you can see, the mirrors, tires, headlights are all production spec.

If that's the way it will end up looking, then Audi did a very fine job keeping the looks of the concept.

everything is great about R9 but audi, for god sake, keep the lights the way they are on concept model. that's one of the coolest feature I noticed on R9.

They would probably run into legal problems... especially here in good ol' US of A... where anything cool for a car is not allowed

    LOL
    Are you kidding?
    Germany is much more restricted.
Much Amercian cars will never get an number-plate in Germany.
    Even sidepipes are forbidden.
The german "TÜV" is very strict in such causes.

    eazy,

He is certainly not kidding. Anything cool does get omitted from the US cars. No, not because of our "safety", but because of .

The TUV is definately more strick in a safety and quality sense, but nothing compared to US political ignorance. Safety has nothing to do with it. It's all about the greenbacks.
