Is this why US doesn't get the Avant?

    From the Autoweek S4 article

"A couple of more numbers: Sedan-to-Avant percentages worldwide are 40/60, whereas in the States alone they read 85/15. Why, oh why do we not like wagons more than we do? It’s so frustrating."

On the other hand, I am sure Audi NA could have managed to sell 150 RS6 Avant...

    erik, you are correct.

unfortunately in the states there are not enough buyers who
understand the practicality of a wagon (they would rather buy
a gas guzzling suv that handles like poop).
and i think that it is simply to much money for audi to spend
to import a vehicle that no one will buy (just look at the stats:
    85% to 15%).
    it's really a shame.:vsad2:

Whew. Those are amazing numbers, especially considering the total share of the sedans within the RS6 production is approximately 10%

thought that the USA was mpv and stationwagon country number one...
In my eyes the rs6 avant is the perfect "weekend-picknic" car
