The RS6 has a set of 2 down pipes leading to the full cat back exhaust.
Each down pipe has a set of pre-cats, and a set of cats. In conclusion, that would mean that for the RS6 to pass emissions, it needs 4 cats.
Some folks have added a 5th cat which is good for another 15 horsepower. The 5th cat can come in many coats, for more or less restriction. For best performance, you can go with a mexican hairless cat.
No hair, more aero-dynamic.
