Agreed. It is a great dram. I am a die hard Lagavulin fan though. I picked up a Highland Park 18 the other day, really nice.
I received from a friend two bottles of Glenfiddish 21 years "Gran Reserva". It has been finished in Cuban Rum Casks. One of my best whisky ever.

had 1976 issue of Laphroaig (some 4k bottles produced), excellent. 15/30 "editions" likewise. Of course the 10yr cask ... uh
Try MaCallan, 18 yr, sherry oak cags matured - nice, very nice.
I'm not a true Whiskey expert, but i like Bushmills and Black Bushmills. I'm an Irish Whiskey fan.
