    Headlight mod for the TT!

Since so many of us, including myself are intrested in painting the headlights on the TT as the S-line I thought Id try to make a small guide how to do it!

Since I havent done this myself yet, you are welcome to post questions and info you have about this to make this small guide as complete as possible!

Heres some picture that can help you understand how to do it and what I/we are talking about

    http://public.fotki.com/ttschwing/he...ford_inspired/

When you have disassambled the whole light from the car, you will need a scalpel and some more ordinary knives to cut the glass from the casing since its glued together! This requires a "little" bit of patience since you have to careful when doing it!

If someone gets stuck with dismounting the lights, plz post it here and Ill help you out!

Then its just do take the casing and paint it in the wanted color, then glue it back together!

Ill get back with which glue to use!

That's nice. However the blue color, not so sure it matches as well as the grey metallic.
Also note this indicator is not orange.

Nrn , happy you found it ! so I guess you are going 4 it !!! As it is said the best colour to do this mod is on grey TTs..... mine is blue (like TTSchwing`s) but I`m still not so convinced whether I should do it....

Please let us know how long it takes for you to make the modification

    Cheers

True, If had a blue and wanted to repaint the lights Ill probably go for silver! Just like the S-line!

But Iīm painting mine the same color as the old R-alloys from the volvo! Just so it breaks of a little Yes i have noted the indicator, and i like it

Must seem like ages until you get it back , right?

Why donīt ask them to do it for you while it is over there .....surely will take a load off your back and donīt think it will take longer to dlivery for this ... am I wrong ?

glad you liked the link , I find it really interesting !!!

Yepp it sure seems like a long time :(

But the winter is cold here so if ACE keeps the car the whole winter he can work on it when he has time left, and I dont have to worry about a garage

Im doing quite a big engine job, a bit to increese the handling and of course a brake upgrade! Movits brakes 322x32 should help me stop

It will be a short article about my TT here at RS6.com when its "finished" with all the details!
