The Audi RS 6 Arrives in Australia

Due for launch in Australia around June/July of 2003, a very limited number of vehicles will be available for sale locally, priced at around $230,000. Final specifications are yet to be released for Australian cars.

So 230K AUD will be around 135K USD, including shipping, taxes and right hand drive ;-)

If you ever thought that RS6 is expensive in Australia, where it has to fly over the whole of Europe and Asia to finally touch ground in the land of Oz , consider the following:

RS6 in Greece costs 136.000-140.000 Euros!!!! (Sedan-Avant), not to mention that all the extra accessories have a 60% overhead compared to all other major european countries.

You see, some non-industrial countries suck the taxes from their citizens like blood, and some others let their people enjoy in the Autobahns ...

Yes, the news is correct, the RS6 is coming. Also we will get a few of the Avants.
230 k AUD is steep but not too bad. The RS4 was 178 k AUD and it sold all 48 of them.
It seems that right hand drive requires a premium.
I just hope that the RS6 does not have soft rims. By the time it arrives here I am sure that all of you had a good chance of finding out any weak points.
