    Serial number on gearbox?

Whats the "serial number" on the gearbox on the Audi TT 180 hk frontwheeldrive? 02j?

Does anyone know what will brake first. The diff or the gearbox?
Has anyone heard of a 180 hk 2wd with more then 290 hp?

Nemas problemas! Have you tried talking to ACE or dahlback about the gearbox? Maybe there is another FWD gearbox that can stand more tourqe?

Yes but both of them are to expensive. Although Dahlbäck is of course the most expensive of the two of them.

I have a friend with good connections in Germany so I can problaly buy it through him at a fair price. There are also popping out more race prepped boxes for the TT on which u can alter the gear ratios after your own wish. But I´m hoping that the gearbox will last this season so that i can install a better box next winter.

You are right, they are expensive! But i didnt mean buying it from them, just to ask them for tips about another gearbox that stands more tourqe and fits the TT! But maybe they arent to keen on letting people in there little secrets!

But to me it looks like you have som options lined up so it will probably work out fine! And the original gearbox havent given up yet either so i guess you still have that left to rip apart

I need to know if it is a 02j or not to be able to buy the correct LSD diff. Limitied slip diff...
If I change the box it will be a custommade 6 speed.
