I guess if you wait a week or so.
It will be launched in the USA early January if I'm correct.

Edit: I guess you have seen the USA Options pdf which is on the forum?

Supposed to begin arriving in May, ending in December. price to be announced mid Jan. If you aren't already on a waiting list, you may be hard pressed to find a car....

hello, im also new to the forum.

i,m currently on the waiting list in southern california and as far
as i know the car will only be on sale from june to december, but
don't worry about missing the boat because several dealers told
me that if your willing to put down a deposit you can still get on
the list [ however you may be towards the bottom].
as for the price some of the salesmen are insisting it will start
@$82,000 and might go to $88,000 for a fully decked out car.
i also heard the car will be making it's north american debut @
detroit. living in so cal i was sad to learn it will not be @ the
l.a. auto show[you would think that with all the materialism of
l.a. audi would introduce the car here].
any way it's nice to be part of the forum, it's been very
    informative.

Probably longer. In the US it is not sold after 2003 because the RS6 can't meet the emissions required.

Audi has said there will be a total of about 6.000 RS6 manufactured, but it is not a limited series like the RS4.

Its not the fact that the car does not pass US (and CARB) emissions tests after 31 December 2003, its the fact that the car, as currently tuned, does not meet EU4 emissions standards, which become mandatory from 1 January 2004.

Contrary to what people believe, US emission standards are easy to meet, unlike the European Standards, which are somewhat harder. If you think about US cars, the standards have to be easy to meet.

The first RS4s only met EU2 standards, the later ones met EU3 standards and could be modified to meet EU4 standards. It is possible to modify the RS6 to meet some future standard, all it takes is time and money.
