    New a6 and e320

According to an auto magazine that I read, e320 is a better car than a6 in some ways. Like braking and comfort. But in performance a6 is better.

    1st place: BMW 530d ....... 3685 points
(best notes in categories: comfort + ride, handling + braking, engine + transmission, costs + gas emissons)

    2nd place: new AUDI A6 3.0 TDI quattro ....... 3606 points
(best notes in category: interior + space)

    3rd place: MB E 320 CDI ....... 3560 points
    (no best category!!!)

"The new Audi A6 is a great hit, but it still can't match BMW 5 series, altough it isn't far behind. When Audi improves comfort (of ride) and reduce gas emissions it will come closer. Despite all of this, BMW 530d is the most agile car in this car segment. No car in this segment can't deliver such driving pleasure as BMW 530d does. MB E 320 CDI is a comfortable cruising car, but it doesn't set any benchmark."

    Interior + space:
    Audi 715
BMW 668 (bad notes due to i-drive)
    MB 684

    Dieselpower.

    Ride + comfort:
    Audi 749
    BMW 795
    MB 778

    Engine + transmission:
    Audi 741
    BMW 747
    MB 739

    Handling + braking:
    Audi 736
    BMW 777
    MB 688

    Costs + gas emissions:
    Audi 665
    BMW 698
    MB 671

Personally I don't care about emissions and 1liter more fuel per 100km, but see the A6 breaking distance sucks .

Anyway if you add 4wd the winner is audi...

mb and bmw's breaking distances are so good. Also audi has new system called mmi. It is easier to use than idrive.

The A6 has less Nm, but it is over a larger rpm-range, so it is better, and the looks of the BMW are awfull, i like the merc's look though.

    Still Audi beats the rest!!

I just read a new comparison btw bmw 520, mb e24 and a6 2.4 in my auto magazine. A6 beats them in many ways.A6's performance is much better than bmw 520 and mb e24.
