    Fan Wheels in older M5

Hey, forgot to ask this question last week.

We have been discussing brakes overheating. Does anyone know if the older M5 wheels with built in fans had any real benefit on cooling the M5's brakes? This was a 1995 or 1996 model year if I recall.

My dad had one and the wheels were not that great looking.

I have a "91 with the fan wheels and they definitly aid cooling- I have put my car on the track with NO PROBLEM whatsoever with the stock wheels and brakes.
The turbine blades are directional- you can't switch right to left.
In fact , I have a spare set of wheels - they are very light and very
    expensive!!

    Thanks for the feed back!

So, would such wheels take care of the brake overheating issue on the RS6?
