This Porsche 917, the Porsche team had problems to get someone to drive, the drivers in the Porsche team had the opinion that the car was too dangerous to drive on the Nordschleife.
So the Porsche team had to pay some other drivers to take the car around the Ring. But the 917 went well and after 6 hours it got the 8 place over all.
