It's always a sad day to see an icon such as the Rs6 leave one's hands. I've had 2 , and still miss having one in my garage . FWIW, I currently own a Cayman GT4, a Cayenne S as well as an E63S AMG ...and I still miss having an RS6 around. Speaks volumes of how good it is.

I believe we actually met many moons ago at EPL . Tony was tuning your white C6 A6 at the same time he was sorting my Stg3 B5 S4.

Sorry I know this is not a Porsche forum but since people asked I hope it is okay to post pics of my RS6 replacement after detailing.

Speaking of Porsche on an Audi forum, I just received some great news from dealer....
"I just wanted to let you know that your Taycan has completed production and is currently at the Port in Germany waiting for the next transport across the Atlantic!"
Funny how my new car will be coming across the Atlantic while I am going in the opposite direction for 3 week trip to The Azores.

Fantastic color combo for a 997.2 Turbo S !! is that Carmine ?

Ok..I'm going to turn this into a Pcar thread lol ! Here are pics of my GT4. Bought it a few yrs ago w/ 550 miles on it, now has about 5K miles and a few track days. I can't imagine my days without it. It checks off more boxes than any car I've ever owned with amazing levels of grip, brakes and stopping power are insane . Always an occasion when I take it out for a drive.

@Nene- congrats on the Taycan ! I'm eventually going to get a full plug-in as well, just don't know which one yet.

Woot- Great looking Turbo S!! That is a great machine. You will make many other drivers on the road sad/depressed about the car they are piloting.

I look forward to your future thread of picking up a replacement RS6

Went on a short road trip with my recent addition to add to the Porsche material..hahahahahaha

Yes sir- The RS6 shares the garage space. I used it the other day to transport me/clubs to the golf course. The clubs don't fit in the 996 frunk- hahahaha. The RS6 is here to stay as we have too many shared experiences (good and bad) to see it go.

My other 996 has been in rehab for many months. I hope to have it back on track soon! After everything was put back together, the ABS is not happy. Thus; tracing down this final issue so it can be released.

Update- ABS is all good after wiring to a front speed sensor repaired. It is put back together! A lil paint touch up and clean up remains. I'll be out at MSRC for a day of testing/tune in a couple of weeks. Then it is off to meet some friends at NCM mid September.

Damn you guys and your fancy VW's

Really nice selection of cars, and I can see why you would move to a more nimble drive, plus they look outstanding.

Maybe it's time for me to get one LOL. Each of my neighbors has a Porsche now, I feel left out. The old guy next to me has one from the 60's-70's, not sure on the model. My other neighbor just got a white with red trim 911 S from the late 80's I would say.

^Do it! The 996TT prices are still good. If you have not driven one- do yourself a favor and find one to test drive. However; be prepared to convert funds into metal It is a dang fun car to drive.

I love the RS6. As you all know- No rowing gears, plenty of room, quattro, nice power on tap, and rarity makes it a fantastic car for my soul/body transportation.
