So it's a both side problem. Solenoid is new, pump is new. Only thing would be bad Oxygen Sensor (my largest fear when replacing all four) but that would have to be TWO bad ones out of four, so very unlikely

The new pump is quite loud ? Running against closed CombiValve?

I also replace the vacuum relay on the vacuum line, that initially appeared to have cleared the problem as I did not get a CEL for about two weeks. That is when I bit the bullet and bought the new Secondary Air pump. I had read about them failing but could not confirm this. The new one is shinny and new, but I get the CEL again! Maybe a vacuum line came off? I'll take a look.

I have not taken the time to pull the air cleaner intake assembly, been waiting for better weather. Every time I go out to work on my car in the garage, my wife lets the FCUKGONDOING GODDOIHGOID FROIGLJDLD dog out through the garage every FOU$)(UOU DF)*(&)(*D five minutes and opens the garage and thus freezes me!

So I am going to check the vacuum lines again. My understanding is that the way to check the Combi Valves is to apply vacuum to the combi valve vacuum port and 'blow' by month through the hose and see if you feel resistance? Odd. I think taking the hose off the secondary air pump and starting the engine would show huge amounts of exhaust gas coming out that hose? NO? If the combi valves are open then the exhaust will follow the path of least resistance and blow out there. There is no check valve in the system as far as I can tell?

This other error confounds me.

The brakes feel perfectly fine. My mechanic said if could be one of many sensors in the antilock brake system. I think the guys who write the code for the ECU should go hang themselves. Why not have more info dumped out than such a cryptic piece of information if indeed there are other 'sensors' which are giving input to the ECU, then there should be an accounting of such information?

17865 - Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 2 (G236)
P1457 - 001 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent

This used to be on both sides, but after the 're-solder' thing it only shows on one side. I will 're-re-solder' once the weather improves? August? September? Not sure. God I hate living in NY. This does not trip a CEL.

16840 - EVAP System
P0456 - 002 - Very Small Leak Detected - Intermittent

Gas cap no doubt! LOL. Usually Trips a CEL if it happens a certain number of times.

Funny the insufficient flow thing trips a CEL right away, but if your torque converter is not Locking then Tough Shit because it will only trip a CEL if it persists for 1000 years or more and by that time your transmission is dead. Nice design. Nice programing. Maybe the TCU programers can join the ECU programs on the unemployment line. Bastards.
