Looking at the pics of that Vanquish S you linked to the interiors are very similar but one difference I noticed is that w/ the DBS you also insert the Key into the dash where the clock is on the vanquish S, while the vanquish S is 5 years older than the DBS and does seem more dated I still love them both. What a gorgeous car! Friend of yours, or...?

Lots to choose from.....always had a soft spot for the Esprit V8. Again, another car with a marginal transmission

After a lot of deliberation, I have decided to sell and move on. I have put way too much money into it during the time I have had it, and while I consider it all worthwhile investment, in order to take it to the next level I would need to replace the trans. It would then be an easy re-tune to extract a lot more HP out of her, but....

It will be properly posted in the for sale section sometime this week, and I will only have it listed there for a while before moving on to ebay, craigslist, autotrader, etc.

Someone hand me a tissue, this feels bad but it is time for me to move on....

And now for something completely different...

My needs are simple: all-wheel drive, built for twisties, dirt, snow and wet, excellent weight/power ratio, lots of torque, excellent handling, manual transmission, not a heavyweight beast, and lastly, new.

What am I describing? the new Focus RS.

    let the hate begin.

People mentioned Golf R's so that is not far off.
RS6 #1 904959, Daytona, Silver, tons of "stuff," went through puddle, dead engine, end of #1 for me, rebuilt by local enthusiast and thriving.
RS6 #2 904568, Avus, Ebony, no stuff, stock minus RNS-E.

I've heard really good things about the Ford Focus RS! I am personally looking at 2009+ Aston Martin DB9's and either S6 or S8
Prices on late model RS and S cars are softening and coming down quite a bit as evidenced by the data below from 9/15/2016 Manheim auction.

Year Make Model Odometer Color Price
    2013 Audi RS5 36k Black 46,000
    2013 " RS5 12k White 50,000
    2014 " RS5 12k Gray 54,750
    2014 " RS7 15k Purple 79,750
    2013 " S6 PRES 44k Gray 42,000
    2013 " S6 PRES 39k White 41,500
    2013 " S8 35K Black 51,200
    2013 " S8 14K Black 62,600
    2013 " S8 21K Silver 61,250

Bought my next car, but not selling the RS6

Found a 2012 997.2 series 911 Turbo S here in Atlanta, so what if it means never being able to retire?

LOL, I think you need an intervention. LOL.....

Did you not love the dead on center steering on the 550? LOL its about 3 degrees of NOTHING in the middle but predictable off center! My M2 does not suffer from that issue.

I will be getting an S8 in the next few years. This time next year my first Kids tuition will be all set and I'll have a 4 year reprieve. LOL.

550 was the worst handling car I have ever owned. The reality was....I made 4500 dollars on the sale. It was never a keeper purchase.

The new Misano RS6 needs my tlc in several areas as well. So everybody please let me fix it and don't come over and buy it from me. I would like to drive it a few years.

A8tt or S8 will be my next car. That is a fact! Dynamic drive select and 4.0tt were a perfect match

I haven't driven one yet, but Toyota QDR has me considering 2008 IS F if I ever got bored of the beast. 5.0 FR sedan that runs mid 12s @ 112ish.

I don't really take the RS out in slippery situations and have other alternatives for inclement weather.
