    Cool Group buy on brakes?

When more of us get our cars/have funds available after Christmas, who would be interested in a group buy on the Mov'it
big brake upgrade? Just a thought. It's an awfully expensive upgrade at retail cost. Maybe there are other systems out which would be comparable, such as the one in the Autotuning article? I plan to track the car, and the likelihood of warped rotors seems high after reading the small blurb Erik posted about Evo's track day. I will contact Stoptech here in the U.S. to see if they are developing a system. I love the 355mm kit on my S4...

I could check with Movit about this in the future when more people get "warm" in their clothes.

That would be cool, Erik. I spoke with Stoptech this afternoon as well, and ascertained that they will indeed, be coming forth with an RS6 offering. They will need a demo car for a short period, but I imagine the current ST-40 4 pot caliper will be sufficient for the task. Throw in some 380-390mm rotors, stainless lines, and your all set. FWIW, the current kit for the S4 is around $2500 U.S., so I imagine that an RS6 system would be comparable(slightly more for larger rotors) in price. That price quoted is for a 355mm kit, and I've never induced substancial overheat/fade on the track, though most of my experience has been in colder weather. I guess I'm saying I like Stoptech's product quite a bit. I'm trying to decide whether I can afford to keep the S4 as well, but if I do, I'm going for their 328mm setup in the rear. I've chatted online with some folks about the 4 corner kit, and supposedly, the car stops like a freight train hit it nose-on. A similar setup in the RS6 would be ideal, with 355's in the rear, if they'll fit. Anyway, keep us posted as time passes, regarding the Mov'it kit, E... You may know Robin St. Clair, and he(IIRC), spoke volumes about their system as a replacement for the heavy and ill-cooled Audi system. Apparently he knows the developper(s) on a friendly basis. Cheers,

Does someone know what is the maximum size that can fits on the original Avus wheels? I would like to keep them if I do any upgrades.
Erik B, you seem to have good contacts with Movit!!

Which Avus wheels are you talking about? The RS6 does not have Avus wheels. Avus wheels come in varying sizes and are found on the S3, S4, S6 and S8.
If you check the Mov'it web site http://www.movit.de/ you will find that you can see what brakes will fit your car.

Nordschleife> I was talking about my S4, I saw now that this post concerns the RS6! :hmm:
I did contact Movit in Germany already, they proposed me 3 kits but I don't know if it all fits for the Avus... and maybe Erik B can get a better deal!
As you suggest, I will take a second look at the site, I found the layout quite unfriendly when I contacted them...

Guido at Movit is away until end of January so it will take a while.

If you are interested in a group buy for ANY Movits (not only RS6) please write in this thread or contact me and I will see if I can help.

I hope we can sort things out even though it is obvious some are on different sides of the water.

I hope my 322x32 4 Caliper Movits arrive before X-max so I can excercise by lifting them and get rid of some of the weight added by all the delicious food of the season! :squared:

    GROUP BUY

There will be a group buy arranged via RS6.com on Movit brakes with quite nice prices - the more the better of course.

All those who are interested will get the possibility to choose their own unique system. Simply becasue my system will not fit your car etc. (logic!)

I recommend everyone with the slightest interest to start investigating what they are looking for.
    Front only or rear also.
    Size etc.

A visit to www.movit.de will give you loads of information online - check if your car is available and think about the size of your tyres etc.

In the case RS6.com makes any money out of this deal it will go directly to a new gallery where members can upload their images.

    Have fun! :s4addict:

Sitting in the garage right now are two Daytona RS6s. One has red brakes, the other yellow. To be honest, the yellow looks better. There are pictures of each on the Mov'it web site
