    Look I hate to be uber newb here but I have to learn somewhere. What is each part of that data-log? RPMs I understand but is the rest boost, IATs, AFRs and what? Just let me know what oder I am looking at. Also, is this the vagcom log David had mentioned to me? Seems I remember 3,31 and 115 he said to help figure out what my tune is doing to help figure out what kind it is.

    NP, I'm a noob too but enjoy learning.

    columns left to right: time stamp, RPM, combined MAF (max out at 364.08 unless measured individually in block 2), throttle valve angle, ignition timing, time stamp, next four columns are lambda or AFR, time stamp, RPM, no idea, boost requested, boost actual.

    Boost actual should be close to boost requested all the way up to about 5,200 rpm, after that combo of small snails and back pressure of precats prevent full boost to redline. But this is all based on what I've learned from these forums.

    I have a stupid follow up question then, 1960 what? What measurement is that taken in? I know PSI and BAR and N/mm2 but cant figure out what that measurement is.

    logs shows the boost is in millibars. 1psi of boost is 0.01450 mbar. ATM is atmospheric which is 'roughly' 1000 mbar you have to deduct that from boost shown to get actual. Sooo the actual max boost in the log above is 1780-1000 for ATM leaving 780 mbar which converts to roughly 11.3lbs of boost.

    1960 Millibar - but this includes atmospheric pressure (aprox 1,000 mbar at sea level) so you have to subtract that. My tune calls for 2060 max, and at 2,500' elevation, my atmospheric mbar is 925. 2060-925 = 1135 mbar or 16.5 PSI.

    RK beat me to it. But yes, boost tapers to almost 12 psi by redline considering my altitude.

    BTW, maybe Dave or one of the other more knowledgeable guys can chime in but that boost seems a little low for a tuned car to me. I think the requested seems about right at about 14lbs. Sure no leaks?

    Pretty sure they confirmed boost taper at upper RPMs is normal. Same log- earlier RPM range, confident no leaks.

    Nice. Yes, export from Excel as webpage. Open webpage locally and copy content with cursor, then paste into a post on here. Clean up as much as you can in Excel before this. You'll hit the 50k character limit for posting on here.

    Above 16-17psi the turbos get way hot, and past peak performance. Requesting high boost, say 19psi, causes the turbos to come on too quick too hard and fizzle out. The goal with this engine is max timing, and not hot turbo air. Get the timing and boost at that sweet spot and hold on! HP increases up the dyno chart just as the boost tapers around 4,500, lovely.
