new catback option for the v10 S6

The catback for the project car has been completed and installed.

    3.0 inch O.D.
Tuned to work with maximum efficiency when paired with custom headers
Can be adapted to work with stock exhaust manifolds
HJS 100 cell cats with vbands
    RS style oval tips

The final design may include minor changes.

More pics in my project thread...

    Nice.

Do you know if they will also fit the S8? If so it will expand the market and the interest.

It's a shame that the car made it to this point ans no one started it up and collected some sound clips and took it for a spin...

    Thanks Steve

Yeah, if anyone wanted a sound clip, it was me. However, the car in not functional as it is. And we decided to keep it in its current state until at least June 30th, as we have given others a chance to order a set of the headers (they are built right on the car, as constructing a jig made no financial sense for the low production)

As it is, the drivetrain can be dropped more easily, and we can build any other sets, if that happens.

I would expect the car will be on the road, tested, tuned, and taken to the track, by the early Fall.

Adapting the exhaust for an S8 would be pretty easy. However, they would need to have an S8 at the shop to build and fit the first one. The design principles would remain the same.

Ill make sure I post them, as soon as I have them. My guess is they are still a few months off, unfortunately.

That sounds sweet. Has your shop pushed the sale of the headers?

Wonder what the sound is with the stock manifolds?

    Nonetheless, that sounds quite glorious.

    Thanks Steve!

There is an S8 that has the same exhaust with the stock exhaust manifolds. There should be some clips up online pretty soon.

The S8 essentially is the same engine.

The headers aren't something that are pushed, as they arent readily available. To build a set requires the car to be at the shop, and the drivetrain removed, so that they can be fitted right on the vehichle. After we finished my set, I left my car at the shop awhile longer, so that other sets could be built for a few people. Now that my car is back in my posession, the shop would need another car to build any future sets, since no jig was produced.
