I just got mine rebuilt and a new valve body. Trust me.. You don't want the labor cost. Even getting hooked up on some things it was not easy to swallow. However most of the cost was covered under warranty. Round 20k because the trans was pulled twice.

That makes no sense at all. I just called an Audi dealer and a factory reman transmission including TC is $4,749 wholesale. I would assume but haven't checked that you could buy one from a ZF authorized rebuilder for even less.

    Labor.
Once to change the TC . Wasn't the problem
    Valve body. Wasn't the problem
    Pulled for rebuild
3 way intake valve labor after trans install.
And fluids two or three times.

I'm not saying his will be like mine. I was getting at it's the labor that's the kicker.

Get a TC from edge if you're pulling it out anyway

The price from European transmissions doesn't include the TC and the RS6 5HP24A is a little different from the standard one so I would bet they will charge more for rebuilding it. But yes, you can get it for cheaper than an Audi dealer for sure.

$3,500 rebuilt trans, $500 rebuilt TC, $500 shipping& fluid, $3,000 labor, $1-2,000 misc., all day everyday. Then you hope and pray it all went well and you don't have more problems from the pull and install.
