Underneath it is essentially a VW Golf R32, except the raised suspension.

Styling wise? It's far from a Golf R32! :trash:

I get the feeling that VW wants to produce a beachbuggy, the originals being based on the classic beetle.

lol.. did you hear something about the crash of this car?

vw has got two of these buggies, one for the show and for for a movie.. a stuntman had to jump with this car sóme meters, but he was too fast so he jumped 40m and landed with the front in the sand .. now it`s a very funny movie I gess .. the car is full damaged.. well.. things happen..

Let's put it this way. This was supposed to be a Gen-Y study car. When the Detroit News took the Gen-Y group to see it they almost puked. Then the group, almost every single on voted it the uglyist car of the NAIAS. I'll have to agree, damn it's ugly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
