This link from EVO may interest you as well.

May I suggest the Jaguar got an extra star just for being British?

Once again GREAT work Erik B. Iīve those magazines too and the EVO mag. was bummed by the fact that the Opel/Lotus after ten years on market was able to match the new levels sporty limousine cars. Again their British tendence, although Opel is German this specific version has some British blood.

Regarding RS6, once again couldnīt win the M5, and once again was much slower to reach 200Kph. But this was the best performance test Iīve ever seen from the BMW, 16,9sec is quite something, have seen others M5 making 18,9.

I just think that the RS6 came to market three years after the M5, it should be best in almost every category. They had three years to make it better, and it isnīt, itīs different, but it isnīt better. Excuse me to say this but, when the new M5 will be on the market, for sure will toast the RS6 in most category.

Iīts good to have the possibility to make it much faster due to forced induction charateristics, something that M5 donīt allow, but it should have came faster from factory.

I just cam back from Munich with the latest edition of Sport Auto.
    Guess what?
They test drive and compare stock RS6 with 2 tuned ones.

This best describes what happened with one of the tuned versions: :trans:

Very interesting...stay tuned for more information!

How do you like 0 - 100 km/h in 4.2 sec for starters?

    Gabs,

why wait for the 500 M5 when you can already get the RS6 upto 620bhp??.. and with quattro???.. be interesting to see how the rear diff manages all that power in the BMW.. I've got a mate with an M5 and he's on his 3rd gerabox already.... Ok... he doesn't treat it particularly well, with hard standing starts.. but I would expect better...

Ok the M5 will be V10.. but it will still be difficult to tune aftermarket???

Just as well we all like different things.. world would be boring otherwise:cool:

That's the spirit! Everyone is welcome around here if they can give us a good reason for why their 'favourite' car is better than the other. I like facts, but feeling is important too...and when it comes to feelings everybody's different.

The Audi without turbo does not go, the RS6 with two turbo goes than one little more M5 atmospheric and with 50 horses in less:o

Nope, not next year - the new E60 will be out next year, but the M5 will be at least 2 years down the road with the new body style...
