Looks like the old man is faster

    Quite good times.

To do mid 12 second runs in a (huge) car like the RS6 is not bad at all.

When you find that E55 tell us how it went. With a mid-12 you should have a good chance!

    I agree...

I think one m5 owner managed to get a 11.95 without any mods! That's the benchmark to beat.

    11.95... I don't think so.

With an inaccurate G-Tech perhaps...and slicks!

    Did some searching:
    http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/sho...uarter+mile+m5

    "12.98@107.15
This is by far the best run I have ever seen on my G-tech."

    And...this is a Hohenester chipped RS6 - stage 1.
However this G-Tech version is not the most exact of things, but it gives a hint.

    ooops, My bad.

I must of mistook the times with some other times from elsewhere, probally from the R32 TT 1/4mile.....

I was refering to M5board member ELEVENS, who's had the fastest 1/4 miles time(s) with a standard M5.

This was a time of 12.861 seconds.

Looks like the chip allows the Rs6 to beat the M5 in this test!

Erik i didnt want to make my dad feel bad so i made sure to run slower than him ...........................

at the track i asked around if any E55 have run at the track, and they told me they saw one run 12.5,so i think i have a good chance .....................btw at the track a couple of months ago i saw an S600[twin turbo V12]running 12.2 with a chip.the owner told me he ran 12.5 stock,so that would also be a close race .................although some guys have gotten into the elevens with chip and drag radials

    I miss my BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, a whole second off the 1/4, that's impressive. I felt that the car was noticeably faster with Chip and exhaust!

The E55 running 12.5, IMO probably had a hard time hooking up. I would think on a moving start the E55 is faster.

    Milltek Exhaust

Fast one, how good is the Milltek system? Is it easy to put on? Any problems? Would like to know as I am considering one for my S4V8. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanx.

Joe, sounds like they did ya proud, do you like your system? Anything to report? Good or Bad. I am a very cautious about add- ons or performance mods. I like proven and time tested things. I would be very thankful for any input you may have. Have a great holiday season.

The Miltek for my A6 is good quality. Sound was almost like stock, till you started to hit the gas hard. Then it was almost like stock but from the outside, you knew something was not stock. A very quiet system. Cat back is what I have and it did open the car up, in the higher rev's. I have the DP's shipping out to me this week to finish off the system.
I cannot tell you what they sound like on a RS6, but if they hold to the past history, it will be good quality, kinda quiet, and will compliment the car nicely.
Strat is a good place to get them. Bob(we call him evil Bob, cause we end up spending money on mod stuff) is a good person and they will do you right.
On the other side, some A6 people have had great success having custom catback systems made for 2/3's the price. I still went with the Miltek and Strat.
I hope the DP's are as nice as the exhaust is!! If so, I'll be a happy camper.

Hi bimmerhead, the milltek on the rs6 sounds awesome,an exotic growl, but not too loud.I would imagine it would sound great on the new S4V8...........................................avu s you might be right about a race from a roll, cant wait to race one[E55]:bang: Bob from Stratmosphere told me that o.c.t is making a chip for the tranny,so that should help in the quarter mile. Also thinking about downpipes and high flow cats, milltek just came out with that setup.

    Talking

Thanks for all the input guys. It helps to talk to others instead of just reps trying to sell something. Hope the Holidays find you all happy and safe.

11.88 secs and 117 mph (188 km/h) is an excellent time for an RS6!

Do you have the actual paper? Or is it G-Teched?

    ATCO

Have the slip somewhere in Mitch's house. Prior to tip chip, we ran a bit better than Fast One.
