    RS6 RS550 C5 Avant Sportec Edition #025

here is an interesting found and which would most likely worth what they were asking for Paul Walker's Avant, this is a beauty and super rare car...and only about 8k miles on the clock...

after all how many Sportec versions were made?, this being nr. 025...i wish i had stupid money so i could just call up these guys and tell them " name your price, i want it"

the link with the ad can be found here

So what did the RS550 package entail, other than smearing their name stickers all over it?

I see a Head unit, bolstered bucket front seats (I think these may be the same seats as the RS6+ sport seats?), Branded wheels, and more stickers everywhere.

Not saying they didn't do anything, but no details I can find in the listing...

it is a bit more than that, here is a link to their website: http://www.sportec.ch/page4391.html

only US didn't get those seats, we did and were standard

    however, their prices are insane...

I loathe attempts made by auto customizers that believe their product is worth a host more than the base model (which is already a premium model), and then utilize peel and stick labelling.... Nothing says cheap more than stickers.

No shit! 33,000 Swiss Francs is almost $40k USD to go for an oversized cooling loop + oil cooler, blueprinted turbos, Wagner IC kit, and a tune that doesn't stand a chance on any canned tune we can pick up under $2500. Craziness...

Oil Cooler + Electric water pump: ~$2500
Tune: $2500 (or a lot less for better tunes, Viper will do ECU/TCU for ~$800)
    Wagner IC Kit: $2000
Blueprinted turbos: $1800 (rebuild) or $5400 (new)

Worst case scenario, you're talking $12,400. If you want to save and don't mind being without parts for a bit (I'll even add shipping, cause I'm just that nice a guy), $7,500. And their RS550 package sports THE SAME acceleration as stock (4.3s 0-100kph)

    Ridiculous

i totally agree with you, but back in 2003 these options were not available, it was only ABT, MTM and Sportec, the big players at least in this field. And since we're talking big numbers, this RS6 had a price tag of $100k here and over $100K in Europe, so who ever bought these cars paid in excess of $150k for a Sportec RS6 C5 back then, stupid money even for nowadays....

ignoring the figures, we must admit that this Avant looks great...

mik15, that is a good point. Back in the day MTM & Sportec were the two big worldwide players with APR in N. America (tune only at the time). All of those companies were offer the tune only for $2500~$4000 back in the day. How things have changed, even though the RS cars are a limited production we have been lucky enough over the years to get much better choices of Suspensions & Tunes (both music RNS-E & aftermarket) and software flash.

Those are 19s on that car. The 20s are much nicer. Different design on the lip
