If it's a bit wet down there, that's not good. I made it through that, but found what could have been a major issue caused by the leaking.

Open up hood, remove plastic guard that covers coolant tank area just below windshield. Passenger side you will have a big drain plug, mine was filled up with debris, allowing overflow and water into passenger footwell. There is also a master fuse, major fuse, something like that, located there. Mine was heavily corroded, amazed my car was just fine with no codes.

So you took this log right after startup, no driving? Is your voltage correct on the dash, ~14? Have you inspected the plug from the TCU into the trans?

    Regarding your questions........

I took that log after driving around the block, less than a half a mile, just to see if anything has changed. Still seems to be driving in 3rd gear, No tip functions, all PRNDS still lit up. Voltage on dash seems to be correct.I have not yet inspected the plug on the trans from the TCU, where abouts is it located , passenger side?, towards the bell housing? Bentley seems to be hiding at the moment. WAUXU64B92N039870 is my 2002 S6 Avant. I'll pull the battery and anything else in the way to inspect that clogged drain plug, I was amazed at how filthy the cabin filter was just after a year, got to grab a new one of those as well. Thanks, Paul
