Engine and Transmission Out - Suggestions?

Mine is currently in the shop getting the torque converter and valve cover gaskets replaced courtesy of my extended warranty. The engine and transmission are currently out of the car.
Suggestions for other service to potentially have done as long as everything is accessible? Things to check out or pay attention to? I would very much appreciate suggestions!!
The 105k service was completed by the previous owner just prior to me purchasing it (at 91k) so the timing belt was done not long ago- currently at 106k.
    Bigger turbos??!!

    Check for leaks..

Forget bigger turbos unless you want to spend redic money. I would spend the $ on a 6 speed conversion.. might consider upgrading your torque converter to an ACE unit. not too expensive, could prolong trans life.

Check the oil filter housing for leaks, replace the plastic coolant pipe with buffkin unit, and replace other seals on the housing.

The venturi vaccum booster under the intake manifold, and every vacuum line that is accessible when replacing it, as well as all other vacuum lines at least checked.

The O2 Sensor(s) that cannot easily be gotten when the engine is in the car. (Not sure which it is.)

Is there also a plastic coolant line behind the engine that should be done too?

Thanks for the suggestions. I very much appreciate the opportunity to receive suggestions from people with experience.
I was mostly kidding about the turbos. That would likely be a very slippery slope!
What is the service interval for a timing belt? Do you think it would be worth going ahead and doing the timing belt again with only 15-16k on it as long as everything is easily accessible? It was done at 70k and I'm assuming it was part of the 105k service interval which was done at 91k.

You talkin' rear output shaft on trans?....check...and it's an upgraded part.

Don't assume timing belt was done, make sure, very important. Any record of it?

Upgraded TC could be good, of course with my experience I would rebuild the trans now and save the $3k in labor before it fails in xx,xxx miles.

The service records specifically list the timing belt being replaced at 70k ("Replace water pump, thermostat and rollers with timing belt"), but the records for the 105k service (completed at 91k) just list the "105k service". I was told the timing belt was part of that by the dealer, but we are looking at the belt to see if it needs attention. Likely just worth doing it regardless, even if it only has 16k on it.

According to the service records, the "transmission prop seal" was replaced at 90k. Is that the seal that you are talking about?

I think that the plan is to simply replace the TC without any upgrade. Based on some posts I've seen on the forum, there seems to be some frequency of gearbox issues not long after TC upgrades and I have been told that an upgraded TC would possibly cause issues with my coverage for extended warranty claims in the future- I've got another year remaining.

Estimated cost for a transmission rebuild without the removal and install at an independent shop??
