Question What do I need to build a stronger transmission for my RS6?

Got an opportunity to buy a fully functional gearbox incl converter for a good price.
I am thinking of rebuilding it and make it stronger so it can take a lot more abuse than the stock transmission.
What do I need to buy and where can I do it? I live in Sweden (Europe), but can transport a lot of stuff via container shipping.

Help and links would be much appreciated.

    Regards Rob

Thx guys. Will check it out.
I am located in europe so I cannot send the stuff over there to get it fixed, but buying the necessary stuff there is more interesting if price is right.

Lots of 'upgraded' OEM kits on auction sites and the like. Doesn't necessarily mean they make things 'stronger' though, but believe they do address the general failure points that are well known with the 5HP24A. Also, better to buy the parts from an authorized ZF distributer vs. Dealer. You will save a tonne.

    You get the idea.

I believe 517 Trans makes all their own parts. That's the only way they can guarantee their trans rebuild. That's why you need to tell them what you want. Call and speak to Sam. Maybe he would send parts, but no warranty?

Installers don't want to seem to want to warranty unless they do the build (really, would you?). And as far as my experience has been a warranty isn't worth the paper it is written on.

if i would go that route again i would definitely do the 517 trans, so far it seems to be the most reliable and strongest one.
    Ex.: 2004 Audi RS6 C5 ABT, Milltek non-resonated, 19" RS4 B7 rims, RNS-E - SOLD
    2004 AUdi RS6 C5, SE exhaust, RNS-E, 19' original rims - SOLD
Now :2009 Audi RS6 C6 - stock yet pretty fast
