Bosch Alternator Regulator #0031546506.......are we sure this is the correct one?

I have seen this part number listed in several threads, but when I look online everything says it is for Mercedes. Can anyone confirm that this will work for the RS6?

F-00M-145-247 is the number that was on my Regulator. I see them listed for less than $100 for aftermarket. Not sure how much for an original Bosch.

Best thing you can do is to have yours rebuilt locally and specify that they use an OEM Bosch regulator. Should cost you between $135-150.

I got a quote for that part from a local auto electric shop for $60 (Bosch version, generic was less). ended up paying twice that to Audi due to time constraints but it's the right part. Not surprising that Mercedes would use the same Bosch part.

Yes, very easy and a way to save a significant amount of money if you are willing to R&R your alternator. I have had my original bosch alternator on my S4 for 215K miles which finally went bad, pulled it and replaced the voltage regulator and works just as new! No need to have one rebuild or buy a new one. The bosch part number is 000-043-206-37-M14 which you can cross reference.

What's the country of origin? Is it actually Bosch OEM like they state?

FYI mine says made in Great Britian. I just removed mine (see pics below) and it looks the same. At least from the front. I can't seem to find a pic of the back online, but there is a heat sink on the back of the one I pulled.
