I moved the duralast coil pack to cylinder 7. Everything was ok until today, then the misfire moved to cylinder 7, from 8. I bought a new coil from esc tuning. The check engine like went away, and everything was great, but after 15 minutes of driving it started to misfire again on 8, and badly. Not sure how it went to 8 when the misfire was 7. I am really worried, any thoughts?

Did you check/do plugs yet? Maybe wiring to coil pack is bad? Bad injectors? Just try not to hammer on it in the meantime...

Highly recommend finding a good mechanic before major damage is caused.

You had this problem before tune right? Wonder if running it harder tuned is exacerbating the issue.

Why would the code change from 8 to 7 when I changed the coil, then back to 8 after a nice new OEM coil pack?

Loose wiring, contact between plug and pack? So 1-7 are old, 8 new OEM?

I switched the dura last to 7, and then the code came up for 7. So I put in a new coil for 7. But then a misfire for 8 came on, and no idea why.

Holy crap dude. Just change the plugs. Their probably due anyway. All or them. Gap them to .025.

And get rid of the duralast junk and get oem.

I did change to OEM last night, before it started causing more problems. But I think it just needs all new plugs and coils.

Just replace the spark plugs as outlined..... Then go from there. I'd like to see what the old spark plugs look like.
