next gen R8 and competition. what to expect?

hey all. wanted to start a discussion on what we would all like the next gen R8 to have in order to make it better than its competition. as I see it the new 911 is the one to catch performance wise. the R8 will have to offer a level of exotic design to separate itself from the 911 so that is a given. but with the level of audi expansion into so many niches and with so many new models coming out will audi pour as much attention into the performance of the new R8 to make it better or just adequate enough to compete in that segment? lighter weight is important but with the acceleration capability that forced induction engines have won't audi have a heck of a time achieveing them with a naturally aspirated car? what do you guys think the the new R8 will have to make it special?

ps- the new turbo is faster than the R8 GT around the ring

Qisha- chime in if you'd like
    Past- A4, TT, S4

    Present- R8 V10

I know. I am salivating at this. Paris IAA- less than 6 months away.

I hope Q can through me a bone though. I am getting anxious about how good the new 911 Turbo is.

IAA is in Frankfurt, not in Paris...

    New 911 turbo is good!

Do you think there is possibility for next Gallardo/R8 to be N/A!?

I would love that, B/C N/A engines are nicer IMHO, but I think no way!

I'm not sure...the only problem IMO is the heat. If they solve this problem, turbos will be there

But I think, that there will/(must) be a turbo-engine in the future in the R8 ... not only, but additionally

i think the turbo is out this next generation since plans have been to keep the high revving concept. it is possible they may have engineered the next gen to accommodate a TT mid engine system that can be cooled adequately a la MP4 12C.

It's the next-gen lambo, but the licence plates might tell a different story...
