Least expensive way to lower rs/6

Folks, since quite a few have lowered their rs/6 on this site. Anybody care to chime in on cost, parts etc. I thought I saw posts of adjustable springs while keeping the drc. I would love to take the drc ride height down and I don't plan on spending a lot of money and don't work on the car myself. Any help would be appreciated.

The cheapest way is to get sport or race springs along with drc shocks.
But that would increase load on stock shocks and will cause your DRC to fail sooner.
Cost of springs- $200-$300 or cheaper if you buy used.

Next option is shocks + springs. About $700-$800 new.

Cheapest coilover set is from ST, couple of members actually enjoy them- you can get a deal for $750 shipped.

Labor- depends on a shop, I would say about $250-400.
If you find some fellow Audi enthusiast, I'm sure they would help you out for much cheaper.

Sure seemed like it, DRC had it up a bit. At least 1" in back and .5" up front. I could measure center hub to fender for kicks. Plus that's high perch on the front?, rears only have one perch...

Were not all Wealthy around here, including myself but to buy a car as expensive as the RS6 is and then try to go cheap just doesn't add up. Save up, do it the right way and call it a day. These cars are mighty Beasts. There is absolutely nothing cheap about them. Do it right and you will be immensely rewarded. Try to go cheap and you will pay more in the long run. There are plenty of threads dealing with tried and proven Suspension setups, that's were I would start and move from there...............

This one is proven by many of us, very solid and cost effective...

Simply replacing the failed drc with a Koni strut, works great!
