Audi, and all germans have always been about evolution. They can't afford revolution...
Lexus is about revolution? There is nothing revolutionary about Lexus other than the now out-of-production, very limited edition LFA. The rest of the product line is worst than milquetoast beige.

The drawings are so cool, but the car itself no so.

The performance figures are super conservative, I don't know why Audi would go so conservative with specs on a concept. I mean the S8 with less horsepower from the gas engine minus the electric boost and plus a lot more weight gets to 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds in US testing, not sure what the best European magazine has recorded but my guess is about 4 seconds to 100. My educated guess is the real time is about a second better depending if this hypothetically goes to production and has launch control or not.

I think the Lexus comment came from this Frankfurt concept

Methinks the production small CUV from Lexus is going to look just a little bit different from its concept while if this goes to production it wouldn't require much changes. Think Audi Le Mans concept to R8. *Audi also quoted a 0-100 kmh time of 3.7 seconds for that concept even with a twin turbo V10 but we know that even the regular R8 V10 has bettered that claim even without turbos.

I am not a Lexus enthusiast, but the new GS and especially the new IS are pretty nice cars. I beg to differ.
    Past- A4, TT, S4

    Present- R8 V10

The original LS was the only Lexus that deserves much respect as it changed the goalposts in terms of quality and value. Appearance is not the equivalent of technological achievement.

It is a handsome car; however, the plug-in hybrid component has added significant weight to what should be a relatively lightweight vehicle.

The general trend of most automakers to add a front vent illustrates that aerodynamic necessity leads to almost identical solutions.
