    Brakes

What's the current school of thought on rotors/pads? I'm replacing my fronts soon, and am considering going JHM. I know one guy had problems with them, but iirc, that was partly due to initial pad choice. I am not going to use ebc again. Those who are on the JHM train, what pads do you use? Street pad is what I'm looking for, but I do sometimes need to stop in a hurry

I too was looking into jhm a while back, not a lot of info, but there might have been two people with warping issues. I was just looking at the Loba motorsports site, think they also do a 2 piece rotor. I am leaning going with stock though, better price and strength i believe. Hawk hps pads have been good to me, lack some grab around town but quiet and no dust.

Putting braided lines on today, hoping to increase pedal stiffness...

I am also now leaning toward stock, as the other thread I resurrected this morning has a link and the fronts are 270 each.

Now I just need to figure out pads.

are you also upgrading your fluid? I recommend it

Hey sorry we are passing in the night. It would have been cool to meet. I promise to post threads and pics of the mod process of RS6 #2.

What has been the problem with EBCs? Mine have been on RS6#1 for nearly 5 years with no problems.

I say stick with stock rotors.

I have Reds on the tt and not real happy with them but I do like the Yellows on my RS6 & Cayenne Turbo S. I have a set of Pagid's on the 911 and they're pretty good too but squeal like a pig now and then until hot.

Stay away from EBC. Any pad they make is mediocre at best, not something you should put on an RS.

For proper pads go with something like Pagid RS-14/RS-19 or Carbotech. Be prepared to pay a lot but it's a different world to EBC or stock.
I'm not as up to date on US pad manufacturers, there might be some good ones on your side as well.

That is a relatively cheap and rather large single turbo 4" inlet and 5.25" outlet.... only $1650 USD but it comes attached to a $250k KW or PB

With a normal washer between the brackets the 370mm TT-RS discs will fit and are a bit cheaper and have a nicer bell. Oh, only 19inch will fit then..

I've been wondering that about the TTRS brakes. Have you tried that yourself Vdub? Do I know you?

EBC Red is a no go. Yellows have no reported problems, may work fine. I swapped to cheapo Posi-Quiets and they are fine for the street. And don't glaze my rotors. And no vibration. JHM may be fine. But not with EBC Reds.
