    something wicked this way comes?

i err on the side of the "last hurrah" model bandwagon on this one. i predict it'll be a true lightweight RS version with DSG of the R8 with 570 hp. and i think audi will enter the ring time sweepstakes officially with it too. i hear the next car is going to have a wider track and longer wheelbase so i don;t think this is a test mule for it.

I think this is going to be an R8 à la GT3 RS sort of thing, mostly a showcase of the whole Ultra thing that they have going on Le Mans and new technologies, perhaps a glimpse of what we should expect in the next R8.

    Saludos.

Nothing special, just a test mule for the R8 plus.

i will bet any of you a kick in the nuts that the next R8 powertrain will be basically the same as it is now but with updates. 580 hp (since the new gayardo will have the requisite 600- easily fixed in the new R8 with an ECU flash) and DSG but with a weight of 3200 lbs or less (lighter than R8 GT). this power to weight ratio will essentially be the same as the italia and the MP4-12C.
