Poking around my engine bay this weekend and noticed this metal tube hiding behind the airbox that I can't figure out. Anyone know what it is? I can't really tell where it's coming from either.

Hmm... I just checked and my car does not have a mystery metal tube at that location. On my car, it's just the rubber blank that fills the hole in the firewall. Perhaps a previous owner put some aftermarket system on your car, and didn't remove all the plumbing. Where does the end terminate in the engine compartment?
The end in the picture is just open and hanging there, not attached to anything. I can't see where the other end originates. I guess I'll have to do some more investigating if this isn't a stock part. Thanks!
Defiantly something done aftermarket. That rubber price is normally blank. My guess is that it goes to the vacuum running under the airbox. Could be for a boost gauge or meth injection kit.

If the engine compartment end goes into the vacuum, make sure it's properly plugged, so you don't have any vacuum leak there.
I bet someone had a wire or vacuum line run through it at some point, and it has since been removed but not completely.
