What would a protective warranty cost for my car with 98k on the clock? WUAPV54B33N904279

Dealer quoted me $3800 for 24/24. $3200 drivetrain only.

With almost 100k miles, I am shocked you can get any sort of warranty....

It is a one owner (I am number 2) car with every service performed at the dealer where it was purchased. Not sure if that matters.

I checked out and priced the Fidelity Platinum on my 18k miles car in NC:

$2,691.00 for 60 month/75k miles

$3,078.00 for 84 month/75k miles

Fidelity is sold by my local Audi Dealer and according to the service manager they have no issues...

...so the warranty for $3,078.00 covers 84 month/75k miles - or 7 years and/or ~55,000 miles for $3k

In other words: $35/month or .05/mile??

surely I am missing something here ...or is this just a no brainer?

Which dealer gave you that quote on the warranty? That seems like a great price. You do have very low miles on that example I was quoted $4620 for a fidelity platinum 4yr/48,000 through my local audi dealer on a 34,700 mile RS6. I would like to get a second quote. Thanks.

I ended up buying the platinum warranty from Flow Audi Winston-Salem, NC.

Warranty Administrator: 175 West Jackson Blvd., Chicago, Il 18006212130 (Fidelity)

Coverage: 60 months and/or 60,000miles from purchase date and mileage

Purchase date Mileage: 20,177

Cost: $2208.00

This was the platinum exclusionary warranty with $50 deductable if work done by Flow
Audi and $100 anywhere else.

I went to the dealer yesterday and grabbed a warranty. I was at 99,940 miles on the ticker and needed to pick it up before 100k to get the same pricing. I went with the Silver warranty from Audi/Fidelity for $3500 and $100 deductible. 2 year/ 24k. The Bronze was available for $2900.

I asked if I can get another warranty after this one and they said yes. At 123,000 miles I can get another 2 year/24k Silver Fidelity warranty for $4500.
