    True, but the 4.2TDi is one that actually doesn't sound that bad at all, plus having driven it in the Q7 it does make a valid case for itself to continue to be included in the line-up. There's something true magical about having a hothatch think your easy picking to then find up they don't have the muscle to do it.

    Personally, I am looking forward to the S6/ RS6. I think this in Avant form will be an almost perfect car. It should weigh a lot less than the current one but go a lot faster. I wonder what output it'll get, 518 bhp or more?

    It's funny, when I saw 518 bhp, I wondered if it was a misprint; 581 seems much closer to what we need.

    If BMW hadn't given the new M5 with 580hp then I would sincerely have thought that the next RS6 would have dropped in output, but now I am convinced it will at least match the C6 RS6 if not better it.
