    Porsche 991 series intro

...will be in September 2011. Press pics maybe even in July. First dealers cars in Germany early December 2011. First costumer cars in Germany late Janury 2012, rest of Europe early February 2012.

Two models: Carrera and Carrera S, first as coupe only. 100mm longer wheelbase, 10mm lower, 50mm longer and 60mm wider in size. Around 50kg lighter then 997.2 model.

Two engines at start: Carrera with 3.4 L and around 350hp and Carrera S with 3.8L with around 400hp. Performance? Amazing.
Carrera S with PDK faster on the Ring then current R8 V10 and 997.2 Turbo PDK. For me more then enough.

PDK optional and updated. 20" wheels standard on Carrera S and optional on Carrera.

Design wise 991 will be the best looking 911 ever in my humble opinion.

I will get one for sure.

That sounds pretty incredible, faster than a 997.2 Turbo ?

faster than the V10 and current 997.2 turbo? hard to believe with the implied power to weight ratio. we'll see. i CAN see the PDK version laying down a time somewhere between the two, however.

Obviously looking to widen the gap between the base model and the S.

I agree, this is going to be an amazing car. So focused. So well engineered. So well put together.
