Is this a "by the book" answer?

    4 hours is my guess.

Yes. Unplug the old sensors, cut off the connectors, tape the new sensors to the cables, lower the engine/trans, remove the old sensors, pull the cables to get the new sensors down, install them then plug them in.

This assumes you don't have to unclip or cut zip ties as the cable are supposed to be secured out of the way. You can usually reach the securing points from underneath, just something to keep in mind if you just start yanking, and the cables aren't free.

I really think you could have done it in 2 hours if the shop was empty and I kept quiet and out of the way. BTW I averaged 22.1 mpg @ 76 mph on the way home. I had been getting approx 19 - 20 mpg at 69 - 71 mph previous times I've made the same trip.

I was over 24 mpg for the first 50 or so miles when my average speed was still a touch below 70. MPG started dropping and MPH started rising quickly once I cleared the city / suburbs and was able to get in a few spirited runs. If I was worried about gas mileage I'd have bought a Prius but was surprised at how high it was. I think I could have gotten 25+ if I set the cruise on 65 - before I fell asleep and died. The beast deserves better than to go out in a fiery crash with the cruise set at 65 and a driver asleep at the wheel.

I think Illinois was trying to fix their state budget with speeding tickets yesterday so I didn't have nearly as much fun as I should. Off topic did you get RS6 from elite motors online? They had two listed on ebay I was going up to look at - but they were gone before I made it there.

It was pretty sloppy down your way Saturday night. I drove 200 miles down, drove around 100 miles and 200 miles back up. 19.8 mpg
