IIRC, one of well-informed members from around here once told me there would be a S4-engined Q5...
BMW seem to be doing well with their X5/6 M.
Perhaps because they're twin turbo, auto and quattro

A Q5 with the hybrid enhanced 3.0 TFSI would be pretty wicked.
I sincerely hope not considering how poorly the Touareg and Cayenne Hybrid have been received.
All the SQ5 requires is the very same 3.0L used in the S4 and S5, the Q5 is already relatively light. As for an RSQ5, well just tweak the boost up to close on the 450hp mark, add some additional cooling and tweak the software in the gearbox to include launch control and you're sorted, mid four second sprints to 60 and something to really show the bigger, heavier X5M a clean pair of heels down a back road in the ultimate expression of quattro.
As far as I'm concered... Q5 S with 333 hp would be a great addition to a Q5 line up...
BTW, whAt makes more sensce...?
Q5 S or SQ5...?
Q5 S for me...!
X6 m = q5 rs
There are pretenders among us.....
Geniuses with the ability to become anyone they want to be.....
When tnhere is TT S, than Q5 S sound logical to me...
Audi will provide Porsche with its Q5 platform and hot new V6 twin-turbodiesel for the latter’s new baby Cajun off-roader as part of deepening ties between the two VW Group members. The tie-up is designed to align the two brands more closely, saving R&D and component costs. The first Audi model to get the 309bhp, 479lb ft 3.0-litre V6 diesel will be this new range-topping version of the facelifted Q5, due early next year (pictured).
Among the Audi models earmarked to receive the new diesel engine are the A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8 and Q7, according to Axel Eisner, Audi’s head of engine development. He denied speculation that the motor will underpin a new line of diesel-powered S models, but admitted that work is also progressing on a twin-turbocharged four-cylinder oil-burner.

Deny all he likes but if this engine were to ever make it into the A3 then I don't know how it could be anything other than a diesel 'S' model.
Hanging the tail out is Vanity
but choosing AWD is Sanity
I see that Autocar are also of the opinion that Audi will be using this new Bi-turbo diesel 3.0L in a future S model. The rumored Q4 which will be a smaller version of the Q6 will (they say) get two versions of S model, one headng to America equipped with the much acclaimed v6 3.0L supercharged unit with it's 333ps and in Europe the Q4S will get the 3.0L Bi-turbo diesel.
Not entirely sure whether this is insider info they are getting or just listening to Internet forum chat and assume this to will come to pass. Either way I am 100% sure that in the not to distance future Audi will make an S model that is equipped with a diesel engine, personally I hope Autocar are right and that Audi are first to be known as the company that offer sporty diesels.

3.0 biturbo diesel in an A3? No way...
