Damn , i knew it was too good to be true, guess we finally are also affected by the delay. You say you have spoken to AUDI SA, do you have a number there, so i can pester them about the aluminium race inlay which they refuse to give us.

A mate of mine spotted a UK registered RS3 over the weekend, and posted a couple of piccies on Facebook..

This is one of the first, if not the first UK registered car and belongs to the Audi Press Office.

Do you think Audi UK will allow this car to tour UK showrooms or even be test-driven by those who've ordered one? I hope so. We should hear from the UK motoring mags this week how it handles on UK roads.

From what i was told at the weekend, all dealer demo cars and showroom cars have been cancelled as the demand has been so high, and that there are no more cars available to order.

But to be honest there has been so much written on forums about this car, so i take everything i hear with a pinch of salt.

Wow Abyss! That color looks great on that great car!! I wish more people would order colors like that :-)

The default RS3 color palette is very limited and misses some nice funky colors like sepang blue, java green, solar orange.

I'm a big fan of Java Green myself and would order a RS3 in that color (if i win the lottery)

I was tempted with Java Green too, but then saw an RS6 in Racing Mica and was hooked

I agree, the colour palette is very limited. Some of Audi's deep blues, forest greens and dark reds are very attractive. I guess the bottom line is that, if you want one of these colours, then you have to specify it via the Exclusive Range at extra cost. The only problem with that, apart from the obvious extra ŁK this is going to cost you, is that it is likely to delay delivery.

I have expedited delivery by going for Phantom Black. I think dark colours accentuate the aluminium detailing very well. In the final analysis, what the thing looks like is unimportant - it is all about the engine and gearbox.

Well i have an Audi A5 3.0TDI to keep me quiet for a month or 2 courtesy of Bath Audi, and then there's the Mrs TTRS that feeds my 5th cylinder cravings

But i would say that to purchase a car like the RS3 there is a lot more to it than the engine and gearbox, i cant see many people specifying the red/black alloy combo

Damn, apart from the RS6 the RS3 SB is the most desireable Audi in a long time.

    AutoBild: Audi RS3

    0-50 km/h in 1,5 s
    0-100 km/h in 4,2 s (fast)
    0-200 km/h in 17,0 s (slow)

    60-100 km/h (Kickdown): 2,2 s
    80-120 km/h (Kickdown): 2,9 s

    Braking (100-0 km/h): 33,0 m / 33,5 m (cold/warm)

Average fuel consumption: 10,6 l/100 km

    vs. AMS times

    0-40 km/h in 1,2 s
    0-100 km/h in 4,5 s
    0-200 km/h in 15,7 s (fast)
    Flexibility (80-120 km/h) in 6th gear: 6,3 s

Looking forward to the RS3 SportAuto supertest...

    Any new news guys ?
All the excitement seems to have died down ?
When are the first deliveries of members here ?

I spoke to my dealer here in South Africa, and he says all seems on track. My build week is week 26.

    Thanks.
