    LAMBO Aventador engine. 700 hp. 500 lb/ft.

    0-60 2.9 seconds.

one-clutch tranny. shifts faster than a DSG and is lighter.

all this means that the new gallardo will have around 600 hp and weigh quite a bit less. i predict here and now that the next gallardo and R8 will be N/A and engines will be a revision of the current V10. they will achieve better performance mainly through weight savings rather than a substantial engine change. if they were to put a TT or SC V8 into those cars it would be more expensive. we'll see.
    Past- A4, TT, S4

    Present- R8 V10

Also this is the first time Lamborghini has changed the firing order on their v12 from the original Bizzarini v12.

Does this ISR transmission have anything to do with a Zeroshift transmission?

I've chuckled at some of the Internet comments on the new Lamborghini and how the company is not adventuresome. What do these individuals expect? The basic proportions of the vehicle are dictated by 1) the drivetrain layout, 2) regulatory standards, 3) aerodynamic needs, and 4) passenger cabin requirements.

Once these factors are considered the overall dimensions and proportions are set with little latitude. The art is in the details, and the Lamborghini appears to have focused on the details, while maintaining a tie to its DNA.

One area that has my particular focus is the shuntline near the rear of the door. The use of composite materials should render an additional panel there unnecessary. One functional attribute would be a movable aerodynamic surface for the large vents in the rear panels.
