It would work on the RS6, but you should get this http://www.ross-tech.com/Merchant2/m...tegory_Code=IC it will work on the newest Audis.

Yep, the KII will work, but even on the RS6 has reduced capabilities. The Hex-CAN can log additional blocks that the KII cannot.

I am thinking about getting a cheapo netbook to run it since they are nice and small. The software will cost more than the PC.

If you are looking for uber cheap

    http://outlet.us.dell.com/ARBOnlineS...=22&l=en&s=dfh

With coupon code G33V36FJ4W63CL you should be in the 220 range.

I have not tried one of these so I cannot comment on performance. I will probably try out a few different netbooks at work before I go buy one.

In general a "full" laptop will be better than a netbook in terms of performance. I love how cheap computers are.

Here is another pretty decent price for a laptop if you have a fry's near you http://www.frys.com/product/6407242

What is the difference between the Ross Tech unit and the cheapo units on Ebay?

The cheap Ebay units are restricted to what they can do and also ross-tech won't give you any back up. The Ebay one's also die if you upgrade the official software. Buy a real one they are worth it.
