Hotel and eating suggestions for London?

I'm going to be in London on the 7-8:th of December.

As I'm paying myself I'm looking for a "cheap but clean" hotel, as central as possible.
I won't spend much time in there anyway.

Eating - was thinking abou revisiting The Landau, or perhaps Roka Restaurant?

Or do you have better recommendations?

Depends on what you consider cheap , but a few months ago I staid in "Four stars hotel" - it doesn't really have four stars, but it was nice, clean, and very close to the center. Also, it has free parking...

Food? We ate at Garfunkels...they are everywhere and you can eat very well for about 10-13 pounds for lunch.

I'd rather spend less for the bed I intend to use for a few hours than for the food.
