same thought on the intake here, snoopra -- all the other intake designs for our motors until this one place the open air filter elements in the stream from the grill intakes...

this one drops them down, above the wheel well vents, pretty clever as I'm guessing it might draw more cool air from here, with the grill intakes free to create positive pressure above, helping to draw from the wheel wells...

a good shop could fab this up pretty easily.

Welcome Paul ! Truely unbelievable performance. How is the streetablilty? Daniel posted "low compression" as one of the mods. Did this require new connecting rods, or just piston change. Maybe both? I assume it was lowered to be able to utilize an increase of boost? Where did they fit the extra radiators and FMIC? Post some pics if you get a chance.

He's able to run this style of intake due to the fact that he has a FMIC, thus the filters are filling the void left behind by the missing SMIC's. Makes me wonder what became of the AC dryer, and the ABS pump, as the area they occupy seems to be taken up by the new intake as well. I would assume that the SAI pump is no longer needed. Was the compression just lowered with a thicker head gasket set I would assume?

I thought this too, but would it make that much difference? I suppose every little bit helps.
